Deep Purple Blue Wisteria Flowers
Wisteria
Wisteria is a flower that is beloved in Japan and China and grown throughout North America.  It's a long stem of small delicate flowers in colors that range from blue to purple as well as white.  The sculptures are by Artist Lewis Wilson then adorned by my flowers and antique watches and costume jewelry.

After the Ball - Beginning of Sculpture
Life is so beautiful that I am in awe
After the Ball in Glass Case
My sculpture cherry blossoms have been used to create a necklace by Artist/Author/Television star Becky Meverden in "Elegant Knotted Jewelry".  This is a book on the technique of Korean Maedeup.  Becky while living in South Korea with her husband learned to master the beautiful techniques passed down through centuries.  She entertained us daily with her blogs on being an American in a beautiful and graceful country.  I am truly honored that she has designed a piece with the blossoms but mostly that she has become a true and endearing wonderful friend.  The book is a must have for all jewelry artists who wish to put that touch of beauty into their work and can be ordered on Amazon.  If nothing else go to Amazon and through the pages to see what she has done with my flowers - incredibly gifted artist.  Thank you Becky!!  barb
I.S.G.B. OUT OF THE BOX EXHIBIT 2008

The Out of the Box Exhibit is a 6x6x6 inch wooden platform with a plexiglass top.

I created the cherry blossoms, leaves and bumble bees from glass.  The wooden base is painted as an antique open book the top is painted in deep rich color with cherry blossoms then overlaid with velume paper that has the first page of my book "The Visitor" printed on it and dedicated to my favorite artist and musician.  It's busy, it's whimsical and it's as romantic as a quiet little tear that runs down your cheek begging to be touched.

My inspiration always comes out of the music I love and paintings that I collect.  I believe the soul of an artist is always seeking to hear the passion of like souls and to them I thank because I love each of them for sharing so much.

This sculpture is used in the Bead & Button Show Newsletter about the exhibit and the GAS Resource Guide 2008.

This is the first set of flowers that were juried into a book, the Bead Review II in 2006.  I save all the work that is juried even those pieces that didn't make it.  This is a combination of the different shades of Bullseye Purples and powdered glass.   It has been begging me to create a necklace so I think I should at least consider it.
What Time Is It
This is a whimsical piece with Mexican Paper flowers and a pocket watch from my Heermance family which ties the flowers in with my love for genealogy.  I have been a genealogist for almost twenty years and belong to an extremely large group of cousins who are just cool!
